Around the world, many countries will be celebrating important national events during January and February - America has both Washinfton's and Lincoln's birthdays as well as Martin Luther King Jr Day, the Aussies will be having a whole heap of fun on Australia Day, Brunei and Kuwait have their National Day celbrations, India marks its Republican day while Sri Lanka, Granada, The Gambia, St Lucia and the Dominican Republic all celebrate their Independence Days. Many ski resorts around the world have been ejoying abundant falls of snow this season, although for some, the sheer amount has made travelling conditions to, and from the resorts, somewhat difficult. Currently across Europe, Italy (Breuil-Cervinia), France (Argentière), Germany (Oberstdorf), Switzerland (Grindelwald) and Austria (Serfaus), are all reporting excellent snow and ski-ing conditions. In Canada and the USA, many resorts are reporting either packed powder or machine groomed conditions

Jubilee Year for the UK

 

This year will see thousands of visitors travelling to the UK, to watch both the 2012 Olympic Games and the Diamond Jubilee Anniversary Celebrations of HRH The Queen. Both events will make spectacular viewing, but there are many other attractions worth visiting whilst here.
